A TRIBUTE TO BIOTRIAL’S FOUNDER: Jean-Marc Gandon

May 2023, Biotrial shared the sad news of the passing of its President, CEO, and founder, Jean-Marc Gandon after a courageous battle against cancer. It is an irreplaceable loss for his family, friends, employees, and scientific community.

Jean-Marc was a visionary leader with an unwavering entrepreneurial spirit, who nurtured Biotrial from a single man’s aspiration during his final year of pharmaceutical studies in the US, to the thriving global company it is today, dedicated to improving clinical pharmacology worldwide.

Jean-Marc focused on surrounding himself with capable and trusted individuals. Community was key for him, even beyond the company, and he was deeply involved in community life, scientifically, academically, and economically, both in France and globally. Although Jean-Marc had a deep attachment to his country, being an international contributor was no less important to him. He was president and former board member of numerous associations and organizations (ASCPT, the Rennes1 Foundation, France Biotech association, Biotech Santé Bretagne Bretagne, Bretagne Commerce International, AFPT, etc.).

Jean-Marc carefully transitioned his responsibilities to Biotrial’s Senior Board of Directors, demonstrating his unwavering trust in the competence and dedication of those he surrounded himself with. Biotrial remains steadfast in honoring his legacy by upholding his deep commitment to community and unwavering pursuit of health improvement.
